EICMA 2026 Recap: Every Major Launch, World Premiere and What Comes Next

Milan’s motorcycle show is where the next model year first becomes visible. The 83rd EICMA, held at Fiera Milano Rho, has been dominated by 2027 models, and the list of world premieres is long. Some of the main reveals came from Honda, Ducati, Royal Enfield, and Piaggio Group. Below is a recap of what was shown, what the trends are, and what to watch for next.

Note: this recap reflects coverage published up to the show’s final days. The exhibition is open through 8 November, so further announcements may follow.

The Big Picture: A Show Built Around 2027

The 83rd EICMA in Milan is mostly about the 2027 model year. Three themes stood out across the halls.

The first is performance. Ducati brought its V4 platform further, with the Panigale V4 SP and a limited Streetfighter V4 SP. Both are limited to 500 units and feature a dry clutch. The second is adventure and touring. Manufacturers showed heavier, more capable machines, along with new scooters designed for off-road use. The third is electronics. Rider-assistance systems and connectivity were a clear priority, as seen in Honda’s safety tech and the AI-driven features announced for its infotainment system.

Honda: The Show’s Headline Brand

Honda arguably made the biggest impact. Honda’s completely redesigned CRF1150L Africa Twin sat at the centre of its presentation. The range now includes three versions. Alongside the base model and the Adventure Sports, the new Africa Twin Enduro Sports makes its debut, which is the most specialised Africa Twin yet. The Enduro Sports variant is weighing 9 kg less than the other variants, with longer-travel suspension, increased ground clearance and specific ergonomics. The new engine is a 1,131cc unit. Honda also introduced Honda SENSING RIDE, and its Fireblade platform reportedly features approximately 75% newly designed components. The Fireblade range also includes a 2027 CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP.

Honda’s other reveals include the V3R 900 E-Compressor, which was shown in its final version after first appearing as a prototype at EICMA 2025. The lineup also includes the new ADV125 scooter, which requires a Category B driving licence, the CBR500R Four, and the CBR600RR.

Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Triumph and Other Premieres

Ducati’s specialised models were among the most talked-about bikes at the show. Its Streetfighter V4 SP was priced at 36,990 euros, according to early reports.

BMW has unveiled the M 1000 RS, and CFMoto has revealed the production version of its V4 SR-RR superbike. Ultraviolette also showed the European launch of its X-47 Venom. On the touring side, Triumph is presenting the next-generation Tiger range, and Kawasaki has launched the Versys 900. The Versys 900 costs from 10,295 euros in Germany, and Kawasaki also showed a cross-country KX327X.

Yamaha brought adventure scooters to Milan with the RW700 and RW350, which add to the crossover trend seen across the show.

Royal Enfield: Four New Motorcycles for the 125th Anniversary

Royal Enfield used the show to mark its 125th anniversary. The brand unveiled four new motorcycles: the Himalayan 750, the Continental GT 750, the Flying Flea S6 electric scrambler, and a limited-edition Shotgun 650.

The flagship is the Himalayan 750, powered by a new 743 cc air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 54.25-55 PS at 7,000 rpm and 63 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The Flying Flea S6 is the brand’s first electric scrambler, and it carries the company’s push into electric mobility.

Other Notable Launches from the Wider Industry

Several other brands made their presence felt:

  • Piaggio Group presented its 2027 range, including the Moto Guzzi The Trip, a track-focused Aprilia superbike, and an updated electric Vespa range.
  • Moto Guzzi The Trip is its first parallel-twin motorcycle in more than 40 years.
  • Norton introduced its new 450 cc-class urban motorcycle.
  • Harley-Davidson, working with Hero MotoCorp, introduced the X350T. Hero MotoCorp also unveiled the Xpulse 450, its new flagship adventure motorcycle.
  • BSA showed its first modern adventure motorcycle, the Thunderbolt 350.
  • SWM announced four world premieres for Milan, including the STORMBREAKER V1200, a new litre-class V-twin cruiser with classic bagger styling.
  • KTM and Husqvarna returned with their own stands in Hall 22, with a particular focus on new developments in the off-road segment.

Electric, Tech and Safety Highlights

Electric machines had a visible presence, though the spotlight was shared with combustion models. Honda returned to electric bikes with the RN0, a mountain bike developed in collaboration with premium e-MTB specialist Rotwild and Shimano. Energica also used the show to mark its restart after insolvency, according to show coverage.

Helmet makers showcased connected gear too. Shoei introduced the GT Air 3 Smart, a helmet with augmented reality features, and Smarter Helm presented the Aegis Rider Vision, which uses AR technology.

MotoGP made its first appearance at EICMA, with 35 race bikes from 70 years on display, reflecting a new partnership between the series and the show.

What Comes Next: Launch Dates and Near-Future Models

Many EICMA reveals are not on sale yet, and dealer timing varies by brand:

  • Kawasaki’s KLE500 SE with a mechanical centrifugal clutch is priced at 7,795 euros and is reaching dealers in December 2026.
  • Triumph is spreading its new models across fixed dates until mid-December, with two of them shown in Milan.
  • Honda’s 2027 models, including the Africa Twin family and the Fireblade, are expected to follow the usual model-year rollout, though specific dealer dates vary by market.
  • Honda’s V3R 900 production version was rumored to be launched at EICMA 2026 and will be officially sold in 2027.
  • Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 750 and Continental GT 750 have been unveiled, but pricing and availability should be checked against the brand’s regional announcements.

What the Show Tells Us About the Industry

EICMA 2026 suggests three directions for the next few years. Manufacturers are investing in larger adventure bikes and touring models, which reflects strong demand in that segment. Performance machines are becoming more specialised, with limited editions and advanced electronics. And electrification is moving into smaller, more niche products, such as off-road scramblers and e-MTBs, rather than a single wave of mass-market electric bikes.
